Is your Company telling you that your services are no longer needed? Maybe you're scouring the pages of Google right now looking for another job. What if you turned your situation around and believed that this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for? It mightn’t look like it now, but given time, you may see that being downsized is the best thing to have ever happened to you.
The biggest industry in the world right now is the home based business industry. And it will continue to grow. 79 million people in the U.S. alone will start their own homebased business in the next 5 years according to Forbes magazine. If you do a search on Google, you will see many pages dedicated to the world of home based business.
Bear in mind, there is a difference between work from home and work at home. If you really do want the freedom to work to your own schedule, you will want to avoid the home based businesses that require you to attend hotel meetings, drive for endless hours across the countryside or draw business plans on napkins in a coffee shop.
There are a wide range of home based businesses that you can operate with a laptop and a cellphone. If you love the flexibility of working from any location, this type of business could be just the ticket.
Have a clear idea of what you're looking for in a business and make a list. Stick to your list as you start your search and don't be persuaded by the false promises and overblown hype that you definitely will come across out there on the internet. In other words, do your due diligence. It will pay off big-time in the long run.
Here are some questions to think about:
How long has the company been in business? Longevity is important. Beware of "pre-launch" and new start-ups.
Is the product something you strongly believe in? Your belief level is your "Attractor Factor”.
Do you have to stock inventory? Who wants a garage full of products?
Will you have to make a list of family and friends? The alarm bells should go off with this one.
Is the system easy to follow and duplicate? You want to be up and running in 1 or 2 days, not 1 or 2 months or years.
What level of training and support is available? Masterminding with leaders will expand your thinking.
What percentage of the profits is yours to keep? Sharing your profits with an upline (i.e. MLM) is not the fast track to financial success.
A final word of advice based on my own personal experience. When you've made the decision on the opportunity that is right for you, don't look back. Dive in and get into action immediately. There will be a learning curve as you master the skills required but if you're consistent and persistent your efforts will be richly rewarded.
